Mello Partner Programme Terms

1. Partner Eligibility & Status
Partners must complete and submit an application form via mello.vet/partners. Applications are reviewed within 48 hours. Approval is at Mello's sole discretion. Partners may be approved, rejected, or placed on a waiting list.
Once approved, partners receive a unique referral code and access to the partner dashboard at mello.vet/partners/dashboard.
2. Commission Structure
- Commission Rate: 30% of the monthly subscription value for each subscriber referred by your unique code.
- Recurring Commission: Commission continues for the lifetime of the subscriber's account, as long as their subscription remains active.
- Cookie Duration: 90 days. Any signup within 90 days of clicking your link will be attributed to you.
- Minimum Payout: £25. Payouts below this threshold are held and paid the following month.
- Payout Schedule: Monthly, on the first business day of each month for the previous month's earnings.
3. Marketing Conduct Requirements
Partners agree to comply with the following rules when promoting Mello:
3.1 Prohibited Claims
NO MEDICAL OR CLINICAL CLAIMS. You will not:
- • Claim that Mello diagnoses, detects, or identifies diabetes or any other condition
- • Claim that Mello treats, cures, or is a treatment for diabetes or any condition
- • Imply that Mello replaces veterinary care or professional medical advice
- • Make any other medical, clinical, or therapeutic claims
- • Use testimonials that imply medical benefits (e.g., "My dog's diabetes improved with Mello")
3.2 Truthful Messaging
All claims about Mello must be:
- • Truthful and accurate
- • Supported by materials provided by Mello
- • Free from exaggeration or misleading implications
- • Compliant with advertising standards in your jurisdiction
3.3 Disclosure of Commercial Relationship
All promotional materials must clearly disclose that you are a paid affiliate of Mello. Examples:
- • "I'm a Mello partner and earn commission on referrals"
- • "Affiliate disclosure: This is a sponsored link"
- • "I partner with Mello and earn a commission if you sign up"
3.4 Professional Responsibility
If you are a veterinary professional (vet, vet nurse, technician) or other regulated professional, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with:
- • Your professional conduct standards and codes of ethics
- • Advertising regulations in your jurisdiction
- • Anti-kickback and conflict-of-interest rules
- • Any other applicable professional requirements
Mello is not responsible for your compliance with professional rules. You must verify that your partnership and promotion methods comply with your professional obligations.
3.5 Brand Usage
When using Mello's logos, branding, or materials:
- • Follow the brand guidelines provided in the asset pack
- • Do not alter, distort, or modify the logo
- • Do not use the logo in a misleading or false context
- • Do not use the logo in a way that suggests Mello endorses a specific medical treatment or claim
3.6 Prohibited Promotional Methods
Partners will not use:
- • Spam or unsolicited bulk emails
- • Misleading or deceptive advertising
- • Fake testimonials or social proof
- • Ads that target vulnerable populations with medical claims
- • Any method that violates applicable laws or advertising standards
4. Payments & Taxes
Your Responsibility: You are responsible for reporting affiliate income to your tax authority according to local regulations. Mello will provide monthly earnings reports and an annual summary for tax purposes. Consult with your accountant about your specific obligations.
Payment Method: Payments are made via the partner's chosen method (bank transfer, PayPal, etc.). You must provide valid payment details during onboarding.
5. Termination & Suspension
Mello may terminate or suspend a partner's status immediately if:
- • Partner violates any of these terms
- • Partner makes false or medical claims about Mello
- • Partner engages in fraudulent or deceptive practices
- • Partner uses spam or prohibited promotional methods
- • Partner violates applicable laws or professional standards
- • Partner poses a reputational risk to Mello
Upon termination, no further commissions are earned. Outstanding earnings (above minimum payout threshold) are paid within 30 days.
6. Limitations of Liability
Mello is not responsible for:
- • Your compliance with professional conduct standards, advertising regulations, or tax laws
- • Any claims or complaints from users about your marketing or disclosure practices
- • Any loss of earnings due to technical issues, changes to Mello's product, or other circumstances
- • Any damage to your reputation from your association with Mello
7. Changes to Terms
Mello may update these terms at any time. Changes become effective 30 days after posting. Continued participation in the partner programme constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
